Farallon Sweater Prototype

The first prototype of our Farallon sweater is hot off the knitting machine. Now that July has turned cool and grey again in the Bay Area, we’re excited about getting in some serious test wear braving the elements to and from our favorite cafe.

We’re using 100% Australian Merino Wool in Super Fine grade, which is spun into yarn by Jagger Brothers in Springvale, Maine. It features a raglan sleeve with ¬†exposed seams. “Horizon” is an apt description of the color, fitting nicely into the “sea” range of our land, sea, and sand themed color ways.

The design will, no doubt, evolve as we solicit and receive feedback in the coming days and weeks. We’re fortunate that our knitting partner is conveniently located in Oakland, California which facilitates face-to-face interaction as we refine the design elements and fit.

This is our first foray into knitwear so it’s nice to see the first prototype turn out so well. Please stay tuned for periodic progress reports.
